The New York Senate passed a gaming expansion bill on Monday, the 15th March 2021 that brings Mobile Sports wagering to the state and more land-based casinos.

Some of the safe spin sites have a sportsbook as part of their offering to players!

Moreover, the New YorkState House Assembly and Senate gave the green light to expand gambling in the state with votes being cast on two separate bills. The good news is that this will set in motion the creation of new casino licenses. Moreover, They will allow three downstate casinos, with one being in New York City. There are three significant contenders, including Las Vegas Sands, Wynn Resorts, and Bally's Corporation, pushing to be part of this new opportunity.

The necessary documentation will have to be completed by 1st July 2021 with an application fee of $500 million. Another positive rumour is the possibility of Sports betting licenses issued to Empire City Casino and Resorts World Casino New York, but that has yet to be confirmed. Possibly a new usa online casino?

The bills are a massive step in the right direction for the long-overdue introduction of mobile sports betting in the state. Furthermore, this is something that many bettors have been trying to push for a long time.

At this stage, it looks like there will potentially be two sports betting brands allowed per casino. Therefore if this all pans out as expected, it could create 20 licenses across the established seven casinos ( three tribal licenses and four commercial licenses.) plus three new casinos.

The Senate budget proposal marked S2509B, allows for multiple operators to submit applications in a bid to encourage competition and additional choice throughout the state.

Overall the news is positive as it's a step closer to giving people a way to gamble responsibly, legally and in a safe environment. Added to this is the very big benefit of the creation of jobs in all those States.
